Micropeel or Microdermabrasion?

At Connall Cosmetic Surgery we choose to perform only Micropeel treatments as they are customizable for all skin types and conditions.

What’s the difference?

Micropeel and Microdermabrasion are two of the most common anti-aging skin care methods used today.

Micropeel is a three step exfoliation procedure combining dermaplaning (scraping dead skin cells off of the surface of your face with a scalpel) followed by the application of an alpha-hydroxy acid solution, then cryogenic therapy used as anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory step, leaving the skin feeling cool and tight.

This is a very comfortable treatment with no downtime. After treatment you will have smooth pink to red healthy glowing skin. A series of treatments are usually recommended, depending on your skin condition. Micropeel treatments are great  for all skin types including dry, normal, oily, acne, sensitive, rosacea, pigmented and aging.

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation using suction that removes dead and damaged skin cells from your face, neck and décolletage skin. Microdermabrasion machines all vary, some use crystals, others are crystal-less, they may be wet or dry.

There is no downtime after a microdermabrasion, you may resume to your normal activities. After a treatment you will be pink to red, and have healthy looking smooth skin. A series of treatments are recommended for the best results. Microdermabrasions are not recommended for all skin types including, dry/sensitive, rosacea and active acne.
