What is Fractionated Non Ablative Resurfacing?

Fractionated Non Ablative Resurfacing is a laser used to resurface the skin without the risks and downtime of traditional methods. Fractionated lasers resurface the skin through an array of precise microbeams. The microbeams heat the epidermis and dermis in microscopic columns which trigger the body's own natural production of new collagen cells. Because there is no ablation or actual removal of skin, there are no open wounds and much less recovery time compared to traditional laser resurfacing.

Patients of all skin types can benefit from this treatment. We commonly treat the face and neck areas, as well as the delicate skin on the chest.

Fractionated Non Ablative improves the deep wrinkles in the eye areas, and upper lip lines. Because this treatment penetrates deep into the dermis, it also is FDA approved to treat melasma, acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks.

  • Stimulate collagen and tighten the skin on face, neck and body.
  • Reduce deep lines and wrinkles around the eyes are and upper lip lines.
  • Reduction of acne scarring.
  • Improves surgical and traumatic scars.
  • Improves stretch marks.

We recommend four to six treatments for best results. The patient should begin to notice slight improvements after their first treatment, and the collagen produced continues to improve over the next three to six months. Treatments are typically spaced four weeks apart.

Immediately after treatment, the skin will become red, sensitive, and slightly puffy similar a sunburn. This reaction is usually visible for two to five days. You may apply makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
